Demise of Renowned Photographer Raghu Rai

Legendary Indian photographer Raghu Rai has passed away at the age of 83. Born in 1942, he began his illustrious career with ‘The Statesman’ back in 1965. He gained worldwide recognition for his powerful images captured during the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. His immense contributions were recognized when he received the ‘Padma Shri’ in 1992 and the ‘National Photography Award’ (Lifetime Achievement) in 2019.
