CTET 2026 Examination: Notification Details and Application Process

CTET 2026 Examination: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Candidates who are interested and eligible can start their online application process from 11 May 2026.

Important Exam Dates

Applicants should carefully note the following schedule to avoid any inconvenience during the application process:

• Start of online application: 11 May 2026.
• Last date to submit online application: 10 June 2026 (up to 23:59 hrs).
• Last date to submit fee: 10 June 2026 (up to 23:59 hrs).
• Online correction window: 15 June 2026 to 18 June 2026.
• Date of examination: 06 September 2026 (Sunday).

Please note that if the number of candidates increases significantly, the board may also conduct the examination on 05 September 2026 (Saturday).

Examination City and Policy

The examination will be conducted across 132 cities in India in twenty-seven different languages. It is essential to inform all applicants that there is no provision to select an examination city within the portal. CBSE will allot the examination city to each candidate on a random basis. Consequently, any request for a change of the allotted examination city will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Admit Card and Results

Candidates will be able to download their admit cards two days before the examination date. As per the current schedule, the declaration of results is tentatively expected by the end of October 2026.

Aspiring candidates must submit their applications online through the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in or the CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. It is strongly advised to download and thoroughly read the Information Bulletin available on these websites before applying. Ensure all details are entered correctly to avoid issues during the correction phase.
