ডব্লিউবিপিএসসি ক্লার্কশিপ 2024-এর পার্ট-1 পরীক্ষায় ইংরেজি থেকে 30টি প্রশ্ন আসে, আর সিলেবাসে আছে grammar, sentence structure ও correct usage। এই অংশে Conjunction থেকে প্রায় প্রতিবারই প্রশ্ন আসে, কারণ নিয়মগুলো ছোট আর মুখস্থ রাখা যায়। এই লেখায় নিয়ম, ছয়টি উদাহরণ, সাধারণ ভুল আর শেষে 12টি প্র্যাকটিস প্রশ্ন পাবেন।

Conjunction কী
যে শব্দ দুটি শব্দ, বাক্যাংশ বা বাক্যকে জুড়ে দেয়, সেটাই Conjunction (সংযোজক অব্যয়)। যেমন: "Ram and Shyam are friends", "He is poor but honest"।
তিন ধরনের Conjunction

ধাপে ধাপে ছয়টি উদাহরণ
উদাহরণ 1. "___ he was tired, he finished the work." এখানে ক্লান্ত, তবু কাজ শেষ করেছে: দুই অংশে বিরোধ। তাই উত্তর Although। মনে রাখুন, Although-এর পরে মূল বাক্যে but বসে না।
উদাহরণ 2. "He is poor ___ honest." গরিব, কিন্তু সৎ: বিরোধ, তাই yet (বা but) বসবে।
উদাহরণ 3. "Study regularly, ___ you will fail." আদেশের পরে "নইলে" বোঝাতে or বসে। আর "Study regularly, and you will pass" হলে and, কারণ ভালো ফলের কথা বলা হচ্ছে।
উদাহরণ 4. "Not only the teacher ___ also the students were present." উত্তর but। ক্রিয়া কাছের কর্তা students অনুযায়ী, তাই were। কর্তা দুটি বদলে দিলে ক্রিয়াও বদলাবে।
উদাহরণ 5. "No sooner had the bell rung ___ the students left." উত্তর than। আর Hardly বা Scarcely হলে বসত when: "Hardly had the bell rung when the students left"।
উদাহরণ 6. "___ you study, you will fail." Unless মানে if not। তাই "Unless you study, you will fail" ঠিক, আর "Unless you do not study" ভুল।

শর্টকাট ও সাধারণ ভুল
- Although/Though + but একসঙ্গে ভুল। চাইলে "Though … yet" চলে।
- Because + so একসঙ্গে ভুল। একটাই রাখুন।
- Unless-এর বাক্যে not বসে না, কারণ Unless নিজেই "if not"।
- Hardly/Scarcely → when; No sooner → than। এই দুটি জায়গা অদলবদল করলেই ভুল।
- Neither … nor আর Either … or: Neither-এর সঙ্গে or বসে না।
- So that উদ্দেশ্য বোঝায় ("যাতে"), পরে can/could/may/might আসে।
- Until সময়ের সীমা বোঝায়, whether সন্দেহ বোঝায়।
পরীক্ষার্থীদের জন্য এর অর্থ কী
পার্ট-1-এ প্রতিটি ভুল উত্তরের জন্য 0.25 নম্বর কাটা যায়, তাই নিয়ম না জানলে আন্দাজে দাগানো ঝুঁকির। প্রতিদিন নিচের প্রশ্নগুলো করুন, প্রতিটি ব্যাখ্যা পড়ুন, আর জোড়াগুলো একটি খাতায় লিখে রাখুন। আবেদনের নিয়ম জানতে দেখুন আবেদন গাইড।

না। Although বা Though থাকলে মূল বাক্যে but বসে না। চাইলে yet বসানো যায়।
Hardly ও No sooner-এর সঙ্গে কোন conjunction বসে?
Hardly ও Scarcely-র সঙ্গে when, আর No sooner-এর সঙ্গে than।
Unless-এর বাক্যে কি not বসে?
না। Unless মানে if not, তাই তার সঙ্গে আলাদা negative বসানো ভুল।
